Tamara Hutchinson
Most of Tamara Hutchinson's childhood was spent outdoors in the mountains of the great northwest, giving her a great appreciation for the beauty and majesty of nature. Her mother was an artist who provided her with the desire and discipline to obtain her creative goals. As a young adult, Tamara joined her mother in art classes in NYC where she was exposed to a variety of painting techniques. She continued her education at the Ridgewood Art Institute and at the Philadelphia Academy of Fine Arts and have been mentored by many gifted artists throughout her lifetime.
Although a good part of her paintings begin outdoors, Tamara is in her studio nearly every day where she works on landscapes, still lifes, portraits, and various commission works. Using a wide color palette, she creates the light effects that describe the subject of her works.
Tamara has been the Director of Site Coordination for the Delaware Valley Art League (2021-22), is a member and treasurer of Howard Pyle Studio Group, is an Associate Member of the American Impressionist Society, and holds a life membership at the Ridgewood Art Institute.
