Lauren Acton
Lauren Acton worked in NYC's fashion district as a print artist until 1993. From there, oil painting became her focus and she started exhibiting her work in 2002.
Beginning with something representational--a landscape or still life--she starts there and enters the abstract. Using loose, washy strokes and sometimes oil stik, she seeks to create bright color energy and rhythm.
Lauren earned her MFA from the Art Institute of Boston, Lesley University, and has over 25 years of national juried art show exhibitions.
