Barbara Tlush
Barbara Tlush is an impressionistic painter inspired by the picturesque countryside of Chadds Ford and Bucks County, as well as the serene coastal landscapes of Maine. Through the use of paint, boards, and beeswax, she creates luminous and expressive paintings that are showcased in galleries nationwide.
Barbara's formal education includes institutions such as Parsons School of Design and Rhode Island School of Design. However, her greatest influence came from studying under the American impressionist marine painter Don Stone on Monhegan Island, Maine.
Additionally, Barbara draws inspiration from her weekly discussions on art with her close friend Helga Testorf, who was famously known as Andrew Wyeth's muse.
In addition to her primary work, Barbara creates a whimsical winter series of iconic SnowPeople®️, which are collected along the Eastern Seaboard. Her art is also reproduced into notecards and prints, available in galleries and gift shops nationwide.
