Debby Hadden

Debby Hadden has always loved horses.  She started taking riding lessons at age three and joined Rose Tree Pony Club at age eleven.  At nineteen years old she got a Horse Masters Certificate from Potomac Horse Center. She held many horse related jobs before opening her own riding lesson business, soon discovering Centered Riding.  Continuing to learn about horses and riders, she became involved in therapeutic riding and aside from that studied human and horse anatomy.

Always drawing horses when doodling, Debby took a beginners class in oil painting in 2004 and it changed her life- she found a passion for oil painting.  Realizing she had lots more to learn she sought out help from Adrian Martinez ( trading riding lessons for painting lessons).   Lately she has been working with Elise Phillips.  Her subjects include horse and dog portraits,  fox hunting scenes and landscapes of coastal Maine.
