Elsa Keller

Elsa Keller has been drawing, painting and creating since she was a child. She graduated from Wheaton College with a degree in Communications, and while raising a family and sharing her love of art with her young children & others in the community, she re-ignited her passion for painting and found the challenge of watercolor through studying with several well known local watercolorists. Living in Chester County, the rich artistic heritage of the area, boundless natural beauty, and classic architecture continuously call to her. Pastels, charcoal, and graphite all find places in her studio, but the paradoxical balance between the flowing, unpredictable nature of watercolor and the precise planning and control needed to tame the medium keep her coming back to it.
Her work has been shown over the years in various shows and Plein Air competitions. Her goal is to impart to viewers the beauty she finds in local scenes, and she hopes to capture not only their appearance, but also the emotional response and memory they evoke. Sharing these impressions with viewers brings her joy.
